The PCM "Catch Code" can be found on a sticker on the front edge of the drivers side door or on the PCM (as shown in the photos below). In most cases, you will need to look on the PCM as the door stickers were subject to moisture and are usually missing. See the list below for PCM locations in different vehicles.

  • 94-97 Ford Heavy Duty Trucks : Behind the fender liner in the drivers side front wheel opening
  • 99-03 Ford Super Duty Trucks : Inside the cab, to the left of the drivers left foot

The PCM is a silver colored box (see picture at right) with a large electrical connector at one end and a small black plastic plug at the other (note: plug may be missing). The wiring harness is attached to the PCM with a 10mm bolt that must be completely loosened for the connector to be removed (the bolt does not come out of the connector). These pictures should help you to located the information we need.

  • The "Catch Code" is the larger 4 character code (format: XXX#)
  • The PCM Type is also usable (format: DPC-###)
